Apple Oat Sesame Cookies


3/4 cup all-purpose flour 
3/4 cup whole wheat flour 
1/2 cup quick cooking oats 
1/4 cup sesame seeds 
1/4 cup sugar 
1 teaspoon cinnamon 
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda 
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 
1/4 teaspoon salt 
1 1/2 cups finely chopped Golden Delicious apples 
1/2 cup honey 
1/2 cup vegetable oil 
1/3 cup milk 
1 large egg
3/4 cup golden raisins (optional) 


1.) Heat oven to 375 degrees F. In large bowl, mix both flours, the oats, sesame seeds, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt. Stir in apples.

2.) In small bowl, beat together honey, oil, milk, and egg; add to oat mixture and stir until combined. Fold in raisins, if desired. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Transfer cookies to wire rack and cool.

Healthy Choices Apple Cookies


6lbs. Golden Delicious apples
1 1/2 qt. margarine
2 qt. brown sugar
1 1/2 cups molasses
16 large eggs
1 gal. all-purpose flour
2 qt. whole wheat flour
1/4 cup apple pie spice
1 1/2 tbsp. baking soda
1 gal. rolled oats
1 qt. raisins


1.) Core and chop unpeeled apples

2.) Cream margarine and sugar until smooth; add molasses. Gradually add eggs; mix until blended.

3.) Combine all dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture and mix until blended.

4.) Add chopped apples and mix until evenly distributed.

5.) Portion with #8 scoop (4 oz.) onto greased sheet pans (18x26x1 inch). Flatten to 1/2 inch thickness.

6.) Bake at 350 F. for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on rack.
